![]() ![]() The lead single for the album Adventure Of A Lifetime was released on the 6th November 2015. The album was the eighth best-selling album of 2015 with 1.9 copies sold worldwide. It features collaborations with Beyoncé, Noel Gallagher and Tove Lo to name a few. In 2015 on the 4th December the band released their seventh studio album A Head Full Of Dreams in the follow up to Ghost Stories, this album saw the band creating a different sound to their previous albums. The album reached both number one in the UK and the US and there were five singles released as well. In February, 2014, the band released the first track off their sixth album, 'Ghost Stories'. In December, 2013, Coldplay announced that their future releases would be distributed by Atlantic Records. Their fifth album came in October, 2011, in the form of 'Mylo Xyloto'. It became on the of the fastest selling records in UK history, and again became the bestselling album of the year, with worldwide chart-topping status. The band took a break from recording in 2007 to tour around Latin America, and released the album in June, 2008. The following year, they began work on their fourth album, 'Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friend'. It also entered the charts at the number one spot in 20 countries. 'X&Y' quickly became the bestselling album of the year, selling 8.3 million copies worldwide. They finished and released 'A Rush of Blood to the Head' in 2002.Ĭoldplay returned with their third studio album, 'X&Y', in 2005. Coldplay then returned to the recording studio in 2001 to begin work on their second studio album. In June, they began their first ever headlining tour, and released the song 'Yellow', which peaked at number four on the UK chart. Between November 1999, and May 2000, Coldplay was recording their debut studio album, 'Parachutes'. October, 1999, saw the release of their third EP, 'The Blue Room'.
